Mammoth Hunters' by Matthew Quirk is a set of striking solid wall panels based on an ancient pattern from a bracelet of mammoth tusk found at the Mezin Paleolithic settlement which is dated to be around 15,000 years old. The repeating chevrons and spirals are one of the earliest known overall forms of labyrinth and maze. The precise reconstruction of the pattern flows across the three panels seemlessly a total of 2.4 meters in length and 1.2 meters tall. Hand-finished in a oxidized patina that adds further texture to the 5 mm deep carvings and an aged warmth that reflects the ancient origins of this pattern.
Due to the nature of the finish an identical piece can not be reproduced this a rare and exclusive opportunity to obtain a unique and timeless addition to complement your architecture.
Each panel is supplied with a pleated wall hanging system that allows simple flush mounting to within 5mm of the wall surface.
